Journeymen Wrestling Club is the home of amateur wrestling in the Capital Region, Upstate New York. Journeymen’s mission is to teach, promote, and showcase world-class amateur wrestling. Through our 4 C’s- Clubs, Camps, Clinics, and Competitions, we strive to develop successful young men & women on and off the mat.

At the club level we accomplish this by cultivating superior athletes with advanced grappling skills, a growth mindset, and grit! Our shared vision with strategic partners has helped Journeymen Wrestling build world-renown camps, clinics, and competitions that bring together athletes from all over the globe to Upstate New York and beyond. This is the foundation of our ideology that seeing is believing, and believing leads to achieving.
HALL OF FAME
Certain interpretations of Title IX has left the once fertile Albany, NY area now completely void of collegiate wrestling. Because Division I, II, and III Collegiate wrestling is non-existent within a 65 mile radius of Albany NY, a profound gap exists. That void needs to be addressed. Journeymen Wrestling is that bridge and the answer to the void.

Through endeavors like the Journeymen / ASICS Northeast Collegiate Duals, partnered camps with John Smith (Oklahoma State), Cael Sanderson (Penn State), Terry Brands (Iowa) and Pat Popolizio (NC State), or our elite level competitions, wrestling youth can witness and par take in greatness first hand. Each year more and more of our club members make the transition to college wrestling. We not only teach it, but we inspire our wrestlers to be it.
